Bisa dibilang, kata HIJAB itu adalah usaha untuk mempersatukan berbagai macam penamaan terkait HEADSCARF ini. Soalnya setiap kelompok Islam tertentu punya penamaan tersendiri untuk headscarf mereka yang terkait dengan "hukum" di kelompok tersebut. Dengan kata lain, tren kata "hijab" dalam beberapa tahun terakhir bermaksud untuk MENYATUKAN UMAT MUSLIM DI SELURUH DUNIA (terutama perempuan).
