For now though, our Brain Control series explores what we do know about the brain’s command of six central functions:
1. language,
2. mood,
3. memory,
4. vision,
5. motor skills and personality,
6. and what happens when things go wrong (I guess, this means ADAPTATION).

The most popular approach has so far been touse five dimensions:
1. openness to experience (curious or cautious),
2. conscientiousness (organised or careless),
3. extraversion (outgoing or solitary),
4. agreeableness (friendly or detached) and
5. neuroticism (nervous or secure).

Character involves an individual’s goals and values in relation to oneself and others. It is the conceptual core of personality and involves complex higher functions such as reasoning, abstraction, concept formation and interpretation of symbols.
