Yang RESMI membawa kata "republik" ke kita adalah Herman Willem Daendels, di zaman Batavian Republic.

Batavian Republic adalah "French Client States", di bawah Napoléon Bonaparte.

Batavian Republic dipimpin oleh Louis Bonaparte, yang juga membawahi Daendels.

Yang menarik sebenarnya, kota "BATAVIA" lebih dulu ada ketimbang "Batavian Republic".
